Recruiting News

Below, some recruiting news from around the Ivy League...

New England Recruiting Report notes that Brewster Academy's (Mass.) Melvin Ejim, a 6'5" wing, committed to Iowa State. Ejim received recruiting attention from Cornell, Boston College, Butler, Old Dominion and Providence.

Rod Odom, a 6'8" forward from the Middlesex School in Masachusetts confirmed for Scout.com that he is completing visits to UConn, West Virginia, Boston College, Louisville, Arizona and Harvard within the next few weeks. “I don’t think there’s any one particular leader,” Odom said. “I’m pretty much still weighing my options. If all things go according to plan I’ll make my decision at the end of September.” Some sources have indicated that Harvard and Boston College lead for Odom and if he is admitted to Harvard, he will go the Ivy League route.

Scout.com reports that Cincinnati Moeller High School's Griffin McKenzie, a 6'8" forward, has narrowed his college choices to Northwestern, Vanderbilt, Xavier and Wake Forest. Although he also received offers from Cornell, Harvard, Tennessee, and Cincinnati, he is no longer considering those schools.

The Washington Post reports that
Gonzaga High School (D.C.) 6'1" guard Cedrick Lindsay, accepted an offer to play for Richmond. He also considered Brown, William & Mary, Niagara, Temple, Jacksonville and La Salle. His Gonzaga teammate, 6'3" Malcolm Lemmons, is considering offers from Brown, Harvard, Princeton, Bucknell, Colgate, Loyola, Robert Morris, Vermont, Stony Brook, and Maryland-Baltimore County.
