Big Red Streak on the Line

Cornell closed the 2008-2009 season with a 21-game home court winning streak at Newman Arena, ranking as the third-longest in Division I. Utah State’s streak is second at 34 games, while Kansas has the longest active home win streak at 41 games.

Among Cornell's wins during the streak include victories over Siena and La Salle as well as a a perfect 14-0 against Ivy teams during the 2007-2008 and 2008-2009 seasons.

Cornell's home court winning streak will be tested quite early in 2009-2010. Cornell's home opener is November 20 against Seton Hall. If the Big Red somehow keep the streak alive against the Pirates, the St. Joseph's Hawks are on deck on December 6.

The nonconference home slate concludes with Penn State-Erie (December 31), Bryant (January 2) and Clarkson on January 11.

Cornell could test Kansas' streak when the squads meet on January 6 in Lawrence.
