News and Notes: Redcast Packages Available

Cornell's Alex Tyler battles on the glass against Stanford during the 2008 NCAA Tournament. Below some news and notes.

Jeff Goodman of FoxSports reports that Southeast Missouri State was stripped of 11 wins and also hit with a reduction in scholarships and recruiting visits due to NCAA violations stemming from former coach Scott Edgar. The NCAA deemed that Edgar and his staff watched offseason pickup games during a restricted time period. Hmmm, this sounds familiar in the Ivy League. Didn't a current Ivy League player admit on-the-record that an assistant coach in the Ivy League played pick-up basketball with him during a restricted period? Judge for yourself at the link.

Cornell Athletics has announced that Red Cast subscriptions are now available (click here for more information). The Big Red's Barry Leonard will once again have the call for Cornell Basketball. With a purchase of Redcast, fans of the team can see via online streaming video and audio ALL of Cornell's home basketball games during 2009-2010. This includes home games against Seton Hall (Big East Conference) and St. Joseph's (Atlantic 10 Conference).
