Below, some recruiting news from around the Ivy League...

Northfield Mount Hermon Coach John Carroll reports via tweet that he spent yesterday talking with coaches from Cornell, Columbia, VCU, Colorado, Fairfield, Vermont, Utah, Northeastern, and George Mason. Of those schools-- only Cornell, VCU and George Mason appeared in the 2009 NCAA Tournament.

Gopher Illustrated reports that Harvard is showing interest in class of 2011 prospect, Joe Coleman of Hopkins High School in Minneapolis.

Demon Brooks,a 6'5" wing from Huntersville, North Carolina and Hopewell High School set a pair of official visits according to Scout.com. Northeastern hosts him Sept. 5 and the following weekend he'll be on Wright State's campus. He visited High Point and Appalachian State in early August. Howard (Aug. 22), Davidson (possibly Aug. 24) and College of Charleston (Aug. 29) will have him on campus unofficially. He was reportedly recruited to some extent by Cornell.
