As we previously reported, Cody Toppert ('05) has signed for the 2009-2010 season with MEG Goettingen of the Bundesliga (the BBL), the highest level professional basketball league in Germany.Toppert reports to The Cornell Basketball Blog that his flight to Germany leaves this evening from Newark International Airport. We wish him the best of luck in his return to professional basketball.
He will join Washington State grad, Taylor Rochestie on the Goettingen roster. Toppert is represented by agent Todd Eley, the same agent that represents Cody's younger brother Chad (University of New Mexico grad) as well as NBA star, Richard Jefferson.
This summer, Toppert played in the Amare Stoudemire Summer Pro League.
