Schedule Update: Legends Classic Formally Announced

LEGENDS CLASSIC FIELD COMPLETED
HDNet to Televise Semifinal and Championship Round Games

Princeton, N.J. – The 12-team field, schedule and television coverage for the Legends Classic men's college basketball tournament has been completed.

Michigan State, Rutgers, Florida and UMass will serve as the four Regional Round hosts for the event. The tournament will begin with Regional Round action, November 18-22, with the four host schools automatically advancing to the Championship Rounds at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City on November 27-28. The Statesboro and Philadelphia Subregional Rounds will be held on November 27-29.

HDNet will televise both Semifinal Round games on November 27th, as well as the Championship Round games on November 28th.

Outlined below are the dates, times, locations, match-ups and television coverage for the tournament.

Rutgers returns sophomore phenom Mike Rosario who averaged 16.2 ppg as a freshman.

Florida has reached the postseason in each of the last twelve seasons.

UMass returns head coach Derek Kellogg for his second season along with a talented backcourt.

Arkansas-Fort Smith returns one starter from a team that finished 23-9 last season.

Cornell has won back-to-back Ivy Leauge Championships and returns all five starters.

Drexel head coach Bruiser Flint was named the CAA Coach of the Year last season.

Georgia Southern welcomes new head coach Charlton Young back to his alma mater.

Toledo will look for their skilled recruiting class to have an immediate impact.

Troy returns three all-conference senior starters.

Valparaiso enters its 21st season under Homer Drew, who currently ranks eighth among active Division I head coaches with 602 career victories.

Vermont returns two-time America East Player of the Year Marqus Blakely.
