Recruiting News

Below, some recruiting news from around the Ivy League.

NBEBasketballReport.com notes that Brewster Academy's (NH), Austin Carroll, a 6'4" guard has a visit set up to Harvard on September 25th and also an official visit to Rutgers is scheduled for early October.

According to both GopherIllustrated.com and MinnesotaPreps.com, Chad Calcaterra, a 6'10" center from Cloquet, Minnesota had accumulated offers from Harvard, Stanford, Auburn, Wisconsin-Green Bay, Colorado State, North Dakota State, Northern Iowa, Vermont and Minnesota. Vermont, Stanford, and Harvard were amongst schools he was planning on visiting. This past weekend he took an official trip to Colorado State and he enjoyed things enough to commit to the school after the trip.

GoAzCats.com reports that Rod Odom, a 6'8" forward from the Middlesex School in Massachusetts will be visiting Arizona this weekend. Although Odom has several additional visits planned for the remainder of the month, GOAzCats indicates that Odom might cancel his remaining trips, which could include his planned visit to Harvard.

The Grand Forks Herald notes that Aaron Anderson, a 5'10" point guard from Osseo, Minnesota committed to North Dakota over an offer from Youngstown State and interest from Cornell, Penn and Columbia.

RecruitRecon.com reports that Cornell is interested in Jayson James, a 6'5" wing from Paterson Catholic HS in New Jersey. He has offers from Xavier, La Salle, Fordham, Rhode Island, Seton Hall, Brown and Princeton.
