Centenary men's basketball coach Rob Flaska doesn't have a lot of seasoned veterans in his lineup, but he should have enough experience, combined with some youthful talent to make waves in The Summit League this season.

...Anthony Gatlin is a 6-8 wing, who Flaska said "could be a special player," should play in the opener. "Anthony gives us a long, rangy defender, who plays hard and who is very smart," Flaska said.

Nick Stallings had 17 points as host Centenary College came from behind to upset Texas Tech 70-66 Saturday night.

Texas Tech (5-3) led 35-32 at halftime and by as many as 14 points in the second half.

As Tech coach Bob Knight left at halftime, about 20 to 30 Centenary fans baited him. He stopped and walked back, pointing his finger.

"We came here to play Centenary, just think about that," Knight said. Texas Tech is a Big 12 school with total enrollment of 28,200; Centenary's 910 students make it the nation's smallest Division I basketball program.

Knight did not return for the second half. Texas Tech sports information director Randy Farley said that Knight was feeling ill and his son Tim Knight had driven him to the team hotel to rest, according to Centenary sports information director David Pratt.

Texas Tech opened the second half with a 14-3 run to take a 49-35 lead.

But Centenary (5-3) scored the next 13 points, led by eight from freshman Anthony Gatlin, who finished with 13. Gatlin made a 3-point shot, a three-point play and a layup as Centenary took the lead, which changed hands three times, with three ties, during the game's last nine minutes
