Below, some recruiting news from around the Ivy League...

NJHoops.com reports that Trenton Catholic's (N.J.) Frantz Massenat, a 6'3" guard has committed to Drexel. He had narrowed his school list down to Rider, Princeton, Boston University and Niagara before selecting the Dragons.

RecruitRecon.com is reporting that 6'0" point guard, G0ey Gripper from Abington Friends School in Pennsylvania has a top 5 college list which include La Salle, St. Bonaventure, Drexel, Davidson and Harvard (in that order). He is also considering Northeastern, Penn, Kent State and St. Joe's. Of this group, Drexel, Harvard and Penn have reportedly offered.

Nate Appel, a 6'8" forward from the De La Salle School in Concord, California told NorCalPreps.com that he is fielding interest from several Ivies as well as Cal Poly, UC Irvine, and UCSB.

Rod Odom, a 6'8" forward from the Middlesex School in Massachusetts told VandySports.com his favorites are Vanderbilt, Louisville, Arizona, Harvard and Boston College and that there is no leader with each school running neck-and-neck at this point. He added, "I'd say it's pretty much even at this point. I hope to make a decision in early October." Odom recently visited Vanderbilt and Louisville. A visit to Harvard is scheduled for September 25 with other visits to Arizona and Boston College also scheduled. A trip to UConn was cancelled so Odom could visit Vanderbilt.

Harvard's recruiting took a bit of a hit last night with the news from several sources, including the LA Times that Keala King, a 6'5" wing from Compton, Ca. and Mater Dei High School committed to Arizona State over an offer from the Crimson.
