Schedule Update: Drexel Excited to Host Cornell in Legends Classic

Released from Drexel University Athletics today:
Philadelphia – Drexel University will host its first-ever regular season men’s basketball tournament this winter. The Daskalakis Athletic Center will be the venue for three days of doubleheader basketball action in the Legends Classic over the Thanksgiving break.

Drexel will be the host site of the Philadelphia Subregional Round from November 27-29. Cornell, the Ivy League’s defending champion, Vermont and Toledo will participate in the round robin portion of the tournament. Each team will play three games in three days. Michigan State, Rutgers, Florida and UMass will serve as the four Regional Round hosts for the event. The tournament will begin with Regional Round action, November 18-22, with the four host schools automatically advancing to the Championship Rounds at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City on November 27-28. The Statesboro and Philadelphia Subregional Rounds will be held on November 27-29. The Dragons open up the tournament on Nov. 20 at the Piscataway Regional with a game against Big East-foe Rutgers.
