Cornell has a history of alumni playing in NBA and NBDL. But the Big Red also have alums scattered throughout NBA front offices. Below are some notable Cornell alums currently employed in the NBA .
Bryan Colangelo ‘87 was named the NBA’s Executive of the Year in 2005 as the team president and general manager of the Phoenix Suns and currently serves in the same role for the Toronto Raptors organization. He is a graduate of Cornell's Applied Economics and Management program, Cornell's "undergraduate business school."
Larry Tannenbaum '68 is has a B.S. in Economics from Cornell and serves as a Governor of the NBA for the Toronto Raptors. He was a primary force in bringing the Raptors to Toronto as an expansion team.
Steve Belkin is an owner of the Atlanta Hawks. He graduated from Cornell's School of Industrial and Labor Relations.
