Recruiting News

Above, incoming Cornell freshman, Peter McMillan (6'7", Northfield Mount Hermon School, MA). Below, some recruiting news from around the Ivy League.

Northstar Basketball Blog was in Neptune, New Jersey for the 2009 Summer Classic East and caught up with some Ivy League prospects.

Jesse Krasna, a 5'11" point guard from Pennsbury, PA High School and the Jersey Shore Warriors AAU squad reported that he is receiving interest from Cornell, Lafayette, Lehigh, and Princeton. While he said he had no offers, he struggled with identifying a favorite school. "I would say those are my top choices right now...That's tough. I would say Cornell and Princeton."

Jamel Flash, a developing 6'10" post player from West Hempstead, New York and the AAU team, the NY Panthers is listing Yale, Columbia, Jacksonville, Elon, Colgate, Oakland, Norfolk State, and West Virginia. He has no offers, but he is only a member of the class of 2011.

Ridley High School's Cameron Gunter, a 6'8" power forward is hearing from almost every Ivy League school according to NJHoops.com. His favorite is currently Penn. Other schools that are looking at him include Northeastern, Siena, Holy Cross and Drexel.
