Wrobo Gets the Nod

Similar to the strategy Steve Donahue applied against Missouri in the NCAA Tournament First Round a year ago, Cornell will use two point guards in its starting line-up against Alabama on Saturday. Below, the Cornell Daily Sun gets the scoop.

Donahue: Wroblewski Will Start For M. Basketball

Men's basketball head coach Steve Donahue announced that sophomore Chris Wroblewski will start over senior Geoff Reeves at shooting guard in the Red's season opener on Saturday.

"In general, I think another ballhandler against a real athletic defensive team like Alabama probably helps us more off the start," Donahue said.

Wroblewski played point guard early last season while senior Louis Dale was out with a hamstring injury.

Dale, Wroblewski and seniors Ryan Wittman (small forward), Alex Tyler (power forward) and Jeff Foote (center) will start for the Red.
