Ivy Awards: Wittman Wins Second Ivy Player of the Week Award

Cornell's Ryan Wittman was named Co-Ivy League Player of the Week by the Ivy League Office. With respect to Wittman, the Ivy Office notes:
Cornell senior Ryan Wittman (Eden Prairie, Minn.) averaged 17.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.3 steals in helping the Big Red go 3-1 this past weekend, all on the road. Not only was he named the most valuable player of the Legends Classic tournament regional, but he also established a new Ivy League record for career 3-pointers with the nine he hit. He surpassed Princeton great Brian Earl (281) and ended the week with 288. Wittman scored 18 or more points in three of he four games, opening the week with 19 points and five rebounds against No. 9 Syracuse. He answered that with 20 points and two steals in a win over Toledo, a 12-point effort against Vermont and 18 pints and six rebounds at Drexel. Through seven games for the 5-2 Big Red, Wittman is averaging 17.1 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.6 assists per contest.
