Cornell Basketball in the News.... and Slope Media Update

Some additional excerpt references to Cornell Basketball in the news media today...

From the New York Post:
Cornell -- The Big Red won the Ivy League for the second straight year and will take on Big-12 champ Missouri in the first round in a game that tips off tomorrow at 3. Cornell will be looking to show the country they are better than the performance they had in last year's NCAA Tournament when Stanford throttled them 77-53 in the first round.
From ArbiterOnline (Boise State Student Newspaper):
Cornell enters the Big Dance after going 21-9 on the regular season, including a perfect 13-0 at home. They are led by their 7-foot big man senior Jeff Foot who is averaging a team-high 7.1 rebounds per game to go along with 11.8 points per game. Their leading scorer, junior Ryan Wittman, is averaging 18.5 points per game and is a legitimate threat beyond the arch. This season he has made 93 three-pointers and is shooting .419 from out there as well. A key game for them this season was back in December when they lost by only 10 to Syracuse.
From SlopeTV:
Three-thousand, four-hundred and seventy five miles, 16 1/2 hours, 7 delays, 4 airports, 3 missed flights, 1 lost piece of luggage and the Slope Media coverage of Cornell Basketball in the 2009 NCAA Tournament has finally arrived in Boise. I can truthfully say that Idaho is one of the few states I never thought I would go to, but this big state out west where the grass is blue and the potatoes are plentiful plays host to 4 first round NCAA Tournament games on Friday and 2 second round games on Sunday (Cornell and Missouri are set to tip off around 3 PM ET on Friday). Until the first tip, during the games and after its all said and done Jake Mastbaum and myself (Sam Aleinikoff) have your complete coverage of Cornell Basketball in the 2009 NCAA Tournament, here on slopemedia.org.
