New and Notes: Around the Ivy League (updated 2:42 p.m.)

Pictured above, "The Cornell Era: Cornell's First Basketball Championship, the Why and Whither of It," a journal article on Cornell's 1913-1914 EIBL Championship season (the predecessor league to the present day Ivy League). The journal, available in the Cornell Library, includes photographs of the entire team and also includes articles on "Railway Signal Engineering as a Profession" and "Do We Really Need Dormitories?" Dr. Albert H. Sharpe was a co-author and is a member of Cornell's Athletics Hall of Fame.

In more contemporary news, the Andrew Scurria of the Daily Pennsylvanian questions whether Penn head coach Glen Miller could resign this summer. In a follow-up, Andrew Todres races to defend the Penn coach.
