Below, some Ivy League recruiting news...TexasHoops.com reports that Chris Clement of Round Rock, Texas and Stony Point H.S., a 6'1" guard committed to Princeton this week. He told TexasHoops.com, "I committed to Princeton Monday morning... I went to Princeton two weekends ago and loved it...I talked over the financial cost of going, because they (Ivy League schools) don't give athletic scholarships."
The TerrapinTimes.com reports that 6'11" 220 lb. Stefan Nastic, a native of Serbia playing in Ontario, Canada, for Thornhill Secondary School is involved with Cornell, Harvard, Stanford, Maryland, Florida International, Rhode Island, Davidson, UNLV, and Santa Clara.
GopherIllustrated.com reports that Joe Coleman, a 6'3" 180 lb. guard in the class of 2011 from Hopkins High School in Minneapolis is hearing from Santa Clara, Northern Iowa, Iowa State, Iowa, North Dakota State, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Harvard and Loyola (IL).
NEHoopsNews.com reports that Brice Kofane, a 6'8" forward from the Miller School in Virginia has not received any Division I offers, although he visited Harvard two weeks ago and is receiving some interest from Boston College.
Roanoke.com reports that Akil Mitchell, a 6-7, 205 lb. forward from Charlotte, North Carolina and the Christian School, has made a basketball commitment to Virginia. He was recruited by Cornell and other Ivies and had reported offers from offers from George Washington, James Madison, Liberty and Mercer, among others.
TexasHoops.com reports that Houston, Texas and Langham Creek H.S.'s Mackey McKnight, a 6'0" guard committed to Lehigh. He chose Lehigh over Sam Houston State, Louisiana-Monroe, Southeastern Louisiana, Wichita State and Northern Iowa. Ivy League schools Cornell and Dartmouth also expressed some interest.
