Cornell Basketball will get to work with another outstanding strength and conditioning coach. See the release below from Cornell Athletics.
ITHACA, N.Y. -- Jeremy Golden, a former assistant strength and conditioning coach at Colgate and head strength coach in both the NBA Developmental League and the WNBA, has been named assistant strength and conditioning coach at Cornell University.
Golden was responsible for the strength training of 14 teams at Colgate. Prior to his stay in Hamilton, N.Y., he served as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Albuquerque Thunderbirds of the NBA Developmental League, becoming the first strength coach in team history. During his tenure in Albuquerque, the Thunderbirds qualified for the D-League Playoffs and had a number of players receive offers to play in the NBA.
In 2007, Golden acted as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Los Angeles Sparks of the WNBA where he was in charge of all aspects of the team's strength and conditioning program.
Golden graduated from The University of Tulsa where he was a letter winner on the Golden Hurricane football team.
A native of Albuquerque, N.M., Golden received his master's degree in Sports Administration from the University of New Mexico and holds certifications from the National Strength and Conditioning Association, National Academy of Sports Medicine and USA Weightlifting.
