- Jeff Goodman's "stat of the night" is the 6-2 record of Army's "rookie head coach Zach Spiker, who is off to the best start of any Army coach since Tates Locke began his career 10-2 in 1963." Spiker was an assistant at Cornell before taking the Army job.
- A blogger for the Bleacher Report incorrectly states that Alabama defeated Cornell.
- The Providence Journal notes, "Big East teams have had difficulty against the Ivy League this season, Brown lost a three-point game to St. John's, Harvard lost a six-point game to UConn; Cornell lost a 10-point game to Seton Hall."
- Seton Hall guard Jordan Theodore told the New Jersey Star Ledger last night after the Pirates beat UMass, “Our nonconference schedule hasn’t been that good except for Cornell, [s]o after we beat Cornell, people would look at us. But then we played NJIT and we played Hartford. Now we got to come out here and play a team from the Atlantic 10; it was good for us to get this win.”
- The site, Glen Miller Must Go has published several new posts on the Quakers' 0-5 start to the season.
- In case you missed it, this week Cornell moved to No. 5 in the CollegeInsider.com Mid Major Top 25 and received 3 points in the latest A.P. Top 25 Poll, while Big Red freshman Errick Peck was named Rookie of the Week. CollegeInsider.com tweets to us that Cornell's No. 5 ranking is its highest in the history of the poll.
