Recruiting News: Big Red Like Big From Bloomington

You can't accuse the Cornell coaching staff for not being ambitious in recruiting. A source informed the The Cornell Basketball Blog that last night, 23 Division I schools sent coaches to Bloomington South High School in Indiana to watch the Panthers' several Division I prospects workout in an open gym session.

Cornell was represented and watching 6'9" junior Erik Fromm, a stellar student who is drawing interest from around the country.

Among those in attendance were Purdue’s Matt Painter, Butler’s Brad Stevens, as well as Michigan assistant John Mahoney and Wake Forest assistant Pat Kelsey.

Rice, William & Mary, Ohio, Wright State, Evansville and IPFW have all offered Fromm and the summer AAU and camps sessions have yet to start.

In addition to the above coaching staffs, Miami (Ohio), Western Michigan, Valporaiso, Eastern Illinois, Lipscomb, William & Mary (which sent head coach Tony Shaver) and IPFW were also in attendance, along with the Big Red.

Penn State and Davidson are also sending Fromm regular mail.
