Brown and Vermont are both finalists for 6'7" UMass transfer, Matt Glass. The rising junior, a native of Vermont, eliminated Penn after the Quakers staff visited him in his home.
Speaking of transfers, there are close to two dozen available Division I players that were once recruited heavily in high school by Ivy League schools. Some of these former Ivy prospects may be reconsidering the Ivy League as a new college home.
In the high school ranks, Scout.com reports that 6'2" Gabe Harris of the the Altamont School in Alabama committed to Stanford. Harris reportedly considered Cornell and Penn before signing with the Cardinal. Altamont is the same school that produced Cornell's Louis Dale.
Derek Schell, a 6'0" shooting guard from Waukesha Catholic Memorial High School in Wisconsin is hearing from Cornell, Harvard, Penn, Princeton, Bucknell, Colgate, Lehigh and Holy Cross. according to Rivals.com The 4.0 student also scored 31 on his ACT. He is a member of the class of 2010.
