Penn and Brown made a hard push for his services, but 6'7" UMass transfer Matt Glass has decided to commit to the University of Vermont. Glass, a native of Vermont, has two years of eligibility remaining.
Class of 2010 Chicago Lincoln Park 6'7" forward Mike Gabriel is drawing interest from Brown, Penn and Yale according to ChicagoHoops.com. Gabriel already has a scholarship offer from Northern Illinois and is also receiving interest from Detroit.
Scout.com is reporting that Rayner Moquete, a 6'1" guard from Our Savior New American High School in Centereach, New York is waiting on his SAT scores to find out if he is a legitimate Ivy League prospect. According to Scout.com, Cornell, Columbia, Yale and a host of Patriot Schools have shown interest.
Scout.com is also reporting that Blair Academy's Hakeem Harris, a 6'1" shooting guard is seeing his list of college suitors expand well beyond the Ivies. Recently, schools such as Stanford, Vanderbilt, Providence, Virginia Tec, Pitt and Seton Hall have made contact.
