(photo Cornell Daily Sun)The Birmingham News referenced Cornell's Louis Dale (above) in an article announcing the recruitment signing of Gabe Harris with Stanford. The Birmingham News writes:
Louis Dale was the first Altamont student-athlete to sign a Division I basketball scholarship when he signed with Cornell prior to the 2006-2007 season.
The Birmingham News incorrectly reported Dale's receipt of a "scholarship." Cornell and the Ivy League schools doe not offer athletic scholarships.
