Recruiting News: Penn Recruits Aussie

The Daily Pennsylvanian is reporting that Penn is recruiting 6'6" Sean Mullan of Australia.

With all the somewhat negative publicity Penn basketball has received in recent months, it seems to make sense that Penn would expand their recruiting to other continents where it is unlikely recruiting prospects have learned of Penn's recent internal turmoil.

Nevertheless, Mullan is intriguing and could potentially help a reeling Penn program.

The only connection we can think of between Cornell Basketball and Australia is the Big Red's spring tour during 2003. Cornell which also took a tour to France during 2007 is expected go abroad again in 2011. (NCAA rules only permit teams to travel abroad once every four years.)
