Cornell RPI Watch

For the second consecutive season, The Cornell Basketball Blog monitors Cornell's RPI as part of our series, The Cornell RPI Watch.

The RPI (Rating Percentage Index) is a measure of strength of schedule and how a team does against that schedule. Created in 1981, the RPI is a tool used in selecting and seeding the 65 teams for the NCAA Men's basketball Division I tournament.

As of February 24, 2009, Cornell's RPI (according to Rivals.com) is No. 118 out of 343 Division I teams nationwide.

Cornell is also ranked No. 100 according to Ken Pomeroy's Ranking and No. 119 in Jeff Sagarin's USA Today Ranking.
