Cornell returns 15 veterans for the 2009-2010 season, inclusive of transfers who sat out 2008-2009 but were enrolled in the University. In addition, Cornell currently has verbal recruiting commitments from three high school seniors thereby bringing the program's expected total roster size to 18 players for 2009-2010. But of these eighteen players, nine will be playing out their final year of eligibility next season. Accordingly, Cornell must continue its recruiting in all position areas in order to prepare for the mass exodus of graduating players during May 2010.
Below are the academic programs and year of study for the fifteen Cornell basketball players that are returning to the 2009-2010 roster. Players with asteriks (***) next to their class year are eligible for a 5th year of basketball beyond their senior year.
