Below, some recruiting news from around the Ivy League. Above, Cornell recruit, Jake Matthews plays in the Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League (WPIAL) in the Pittsburgh area.
The Pittsburgh Post Gazette notes that "Five boys' players from the WPIAL are headed to Division I colleges. Sewickley Academy's Tom Droney is headed to Davidson, Greensburg Salem's Jake Matthews to Cornell, Chartiers Valley's T.J. McConnell to Duquesne, Hempfield's Nate Perry to Appalachian State and Mt. Lebanon's Even Pierce to Wagner."
A Montana State blogger notes the commitment of Casey Trujeque, a 5'7" guard from Los Angeles Price H.S. to Montana State. Several Ivies recruited him and he had reported offers from Columbia and Harvard.
Scout.com reports that Chandler Fraser-Pauls, a 6'0" basketball/soccer player from the Pennington School in Pennington, New Jersey, is now getting serious recruiting interest in the sport of soccer from Boston University, Cornell, and Bucknell. Columbia, Brown, Lafayette, and Vermont have picked up the recruiting interest in Chandler in basketball.
