Harvard may have received a verbal commitment from Monteverde (FL) Academy's 7'0" Ugo Okum earlier this month, but the Crimson did not secure the services of the team's star, Papa Samba Ndao, a 6'8" power forward. According to Rivals.com, Sambo Nadao committed this week to Boston College after also receiving offers from TCU and Harvard. He reportedly visited Harvard the same weekend he visited Boston College.
New England Recruiting Report notes that Mustafa Jones, a 5'11" point guard from Philadelphia's Neumann-Goretti High School committed to Hartford over offers from Hampton, New Hampshire, Columbia, and Brown.
MinnesotaPreps.com reports that Stillwater High School's Ryan Duxbury, the 22nd ranked player in the Minnesota Preps Class of 2010 committed to the University of Minnesota-Crookston. At 6'8" and 230 pounds, Duxbury was receiving recruiting interest from Cornell and North Dakota during the early summer.
NevadaPrepReport.com notes that 6'7" 250 lb. power forward, Cameron Jefferson has only one offer on the table and it is from Nevada for football. The Las Vegas Desert Oasis High School offensive lineman reportedly received interest from Cornell, Harvard, and Princeton for basketball.
