RushTheCourt.net's National Rankings-Cornell Ranked No. 83

RushTheCourt.Net is counting down the nation's 347 Division I teams. Below we list some of the notable teams already ranked by Rush The Court with Cornell's opponents in bold/italics. Thus far, the site has ranked teams Nos. 347 through 23.

347. NJIT
338. Centenary
335. Toledo- Definite rebuilding yr in Toledo, as 8 freshmen join what was the worst team in the MAC last year.
323. Elon
319. Dartmouth-Even with Ivy POY Alex Barnett, DU only won 9 games last year. This will not improve as he has graduated.
318. Lafayette
308. Binghamton
303. Bryant-Horrific D (#338) managed to lose to NJIT last yr, yet somehow also managed to win 8 other games.
295. Fordham
294. Brown-Starters were exhausted in 09 (3d most minutes nationally), but all-Ivy Matt Mullery (16/7/2) needs rest to be most effective.
291. American
289. Army
285. Air Force
272. SMU
267.
Bucknell-Horrid injury-riddled first yr for Dave Paulsen, who should expect mild improvement this yr behind F Patrick Behan (14/7).
260. Yale- Despite horrid 3-pt shooting (third-fewest total makes at 29.6%), Yale plays enough D to make a push at #2 in the Ivy.
258. South Dakota- F Tyler Cain (15/11) makes SD the favorite to win the Great West and the auto-bid to the CIT next March.
257. Colgate
256. Pepperdine
252. Delaware
250. VMI
247. Columbia - Should Columbia stay healthy and shoot better, they could rise to second in the Ivy behind trio of Foley, Scott & Agho.
238. Colorado State
237. George Washington
236. Penn-Glen Miller needs an injury-free productive yr from Tyler Bernardini and Zack Rosen to avoid this fate (http://bit.ly/4oUo9X).
230. Hawaii
226. Southern Alabama
223. Central Florida
222. Harvard- Can Amaker ride Jeremy Lin (18/6/4/2) and a young nucleus into the 1st division of the Ivy? We're not impressed yet.
219. William & Mary
210. Rice
206. East Carolina
200. Portland St.
196. Albany
195. San Jose State
189. Saint Louis
188. San Diego
187. Navy
183. Drake
181. Fresno St.
179. UAB
175. Samford
173. Holy Cross
169. UT San Antonio
167. Tulane
165. St. Bonaventure
158. Georgia
157. Colorado
156. Princeton- Princeton isn't all the way back yet, but they are the second best Ivy team on paper and will be ready if Cornell falters.
152. Vermont- 2-time POY Marqus Blakely (16/9/3/3) returns, but loss of M. Trimboli and C. McIntosh stings. Still have a shot at AE crown.
148. Charlotte
146. Iowa
145. Indiana
144. Hofstra- Charles Jenkins (20/5/4) returns as all-CAA guard, but offense must improve for Hofstra to challenge the top of the league.
140. Rutgers
133. Nebraska
132. DePaul
131. St Joseph's - Hard to think SJU will do much w/o Ahmad Nivins in the post; D. Govens (13/3) offers the next best option for Martelli.
130. Oregon
129. Drexel- Gang that couldn't shoot straight brings back core of 3d best defense in the CAA; with better shots, could surprise.
127. Wyoming
124. Davidson- Bob McKillop won't let DC fall far in the post-Curry era. His system allows younger players to step up when needed.
123. Rhode Island
121 UMass- Backcourt of Ricky Harris (18/3) & Anthony Gurley (11/3) is solid, but Kellogg needs frontcourt players (hoping on T. Vinson).
120. South Florida
117. TCU
116. NC State
114. Stanford
113. St John's- 5 starters return incl. redshirt A. Mason, Jr, (14/4) give reason for some hope for SJU, but offense needs serious help.
110. St. Mary's
108. Auburn
106. USC
101. Washington State
100. Louisiana Tech
99. Arizona State
97. Texas Tech
96. Providence
93. Temple
92. LaSalle - 5 starters return plus stud recruit center A. Murray but we're hesitant to say Explorers are ready to compete for A10 title.
89. Utah
87. Marquette
84. Houston
83. Cornell - The class of the Ivy, with all 5 starters back and firepower at every position, goes for 3 in a row; nobody else even close.
82. Miami-FL
81. Virginia
80. Arizona
79. Penn State
78. New Mexico Stat
77. LSU
76. Duquesne
75. Iowa State
67. Seton Hall - Transfers K. Lawrence & H. Pope will make/break this team, regardless of J. Hazell's (23/4) point production every night.
57. Alabama - JaMychal Green (10/8/2) is poised to explode on the national scene this yr, and A. Grant will have Bama playing much harder.
43. Syracuse - Transfer W. Johnson is SU's best player, although A. Onuaku (10/7) is ok. Boeheim needs to work magic with new guys again.
1. Kansas- Embarassment of riches for Bill Self, but not a lock by any stretch. Do offseason issues derail this team's superb 09 chemistry?
