If you are a high school basketball player and you have aspirations of playing in the Ivy League, enrollment at Northfield Mount Hermon School in Northfield, Massachusetts might be your best avenue to achieve your goal. During 2009-2010, the NMH Hoggers will have eight (8) former players on Ivy League rosters, including Cornell's Pete McMillan. They will be joined by a pair of new Harvard recruits (Matt Brown and Laurent Rivard) for the 2010-2011 season, raising NMH's alumni total in the Ivy League to nine (9). Rivard committed to Harvard earlier this week over offers from all eight Ivy schools. And we should add that Brown University already has a commitment from NMH's Joe Sharkey for the 2011-2012 season, so the Northfield Mount Hermon pipeline is in no jeopardy of ending.
Below are links to the bios of the current NMH alums with Ivy affiliation and class year in parentheses.
