As we previously reported, Cornell will play its final closed-door scrimmage against Navy this weekend. As the Washington Times reports today, many schools are deciding to forgo the option of public exhibition games and instead are using closed scrimmages as a means of preparing their teams for the season NCAA rules limits each team to a maximum of three combined scrimmages and exhibition games.
In addition to Cornell's scrimmage against Navy, Penn will reportedly face Coppin State, while Harvard hosts Quinnipiac, the same team that Penn faced last weekend.
