Elton Alexander of the Cleveland Plain Dealer is a member of the voting poll for the Associated Press Top 25. While he did not vote for Cornell last week, he is considering do so next week. Alexander writes:
Now, if you want to keep an eye on a team that could creep into the back of the Top 25 between now and Thanksgiving, check out Cornell. The Big Red began its season with a road upset at SEC Alabama. Next up will be a game at UMass, then home to Seton Hall, then at Syracuse.Don't let the Ivy League tag fool you, Cornell has several high-major transfers, plus 6-5 Ryan Wittman, son of former Indiana Hoosier Randy Wittman. This team finished 21-10 last season and most of its core players are back.
