From the Ithaca Journal:At 1 p.m., the City of Ithaca will celebrate the accomplishments of the Cornell men's varsity and Ithaca High School boys junior varsity basketball teams with a proclamation from Ithaca Mayor Carolyn Peterson. The Cornell team went to the NCAA tournament for the second year in a row, while the IHS team won the Southern Tier Athletic Conference Championship. The Cornell team will also shoot hoops and play basketball skill games with children. A basketball hoop will be set up on The Commons and all kids are invited to participate.
The Cornell Big Red Marching Band will make its annual visit to downtown and parade on The Commons from 3-3:30 p.m.
